İki ayrı mahkemede Boğaziçi ve Marmara üniversitelerinden üç akademisyenin ilk duruşmaları görüldü. 37. ACM'de Mahkeme Başkanı sanığın bir sonraki celsede hazır olmaması halinde yakalama emri çıkartılması kararı verdi.

Barış İçin Akademisyenlerin “Bu suça ortak olmayacağız” bildirisini imzaladıkları için "Terör örgütü propagandası" ile suçlanan üç akademisyen Çağlayan’daki İstanbul Adliyesi’nde 37. ve 24.  Ağır Ceza mahkemelerinde ilk duruşmalarına çıktı.

In his first hearing held today (March 29) at Antalya 10th Heavy Penal Court, the Academic for Peace Serdar Başçetin, who was detained and arrestedon February 13, 2018 due to his social media posts, have been acquitted.

Two academics from Boğaziçi University have had their first hearings. The hearings have been watched by the students of Boğaziçi University as well as a large number of academics.

Two academics from Boğaziçi University, who have been charged with "propagandizing for a terrorist organization" for signing the declaration "We will not be a party to this crime" prepared by the Academics for Peace, had their first hearings today (March 28) at 14th Heavy Penal Court in İstanbul Çağlayan Courthouse.

In a statement read out before the hearing of academics from Boğaziçi University, it has been stated, “Freedom of expression is a constitutional right, demanding peace is not and cannot be a crime. Right to education is guaranteed by the Constitution, it cannot be violated!”
