One more Academic for Peace signatory to the peace declaration has been sentenced to 1 year and 3 months in prison. While the pronouncement of the verdict has been suspended, a verdict of rejection of venue has been given in files of 13 academics.

While the 27th Heavy Penal Court has sentenced Feyza Akınerdem and Neş’e Bilgin to 15 months in prison, it has given a prison sentence of 2 years, 6 months to Ali Kerem Saysel, who concluded his remarks by saying “Demand for peace cannot be tried.”
